IPC – international association for the electronics industry join ® recently released “in June 2018 in North America PCB industry survey report. The report showed that north American PCB orders and shipments continued to grow rapidly in June. Order shipment ratio is up to 1.05.

Total PCB shipments in North America in June 2018, up 12.6% compared with the same period last year; Year-to-date shipments were up 10.5% from a year earlier. Shipments increased 18.0 percent in June compared with the previous month.

PCB orders in June 2018, up 5.6% from the same month last year; Orders so far this year were 12.8% higher than last year. Orders were up 5.4% in June compared with last month.

“The PCB industry in North America continued to grow in June, with sales growth in the positive range for 10 consecutive months,” said Sharon Starr, director of IPC market research. Order growth has been in positive territory for the past 13 months. As sales growth was stronger than orders, the order shipment ratio remained above the equilibrium level for 17 consecutive months despite a pullback. That’s a positive sign for the industry’s outlook this year.
