Almost all electronic equipment we can see have PCB, such as calculator, computer, communication electronic equipment, etc., as long as there are integrated circuits and other electronic components, the electrical interconnection between them all need to use PCB. The defective products produced in the production process of printed circuit board are the waste printed circuit board which we often say. Printed circuit board is one of the resources to recover copper, although some copper has been corroded and the copper content of printed circuit board is lower than that of copper clad board.

Circuit board is the basic material of electronic appliances. China has become a big country in the production of circuit board. In the manufacturing process of copper clad board and printed circuit board, the quantity of defective products and scraps increases year by year. At the same time, as China’s household appliances have entered the peak of scrap, the amount of waste circuit boards in rapid increase. Therefore, the research and development of harmless waste circuit board technology has become a major issue in the field of renewable resources.

The mechanical treatment method of circuit board recycling equipment is to break the waste circuit board into fine particles first, and then realize separation according to the difference of physical properties of each component, generally including crushing, grinding, sorting and other processing technologies.

The circuit board recycling equipment adopts the method of removing components and solders and then crushing and sorting to deal with the waste circuit board. After removing components and solders, the waste board is crushed into powder less than 1mm by using shear crusher and grinding machine with shearing and impact effect respectively. After gravity separation and electrostatic separation, 82% copper powder can be obtained, and more than 94% of the copper is recovered. The size of resin and glass fiber powder is between 100 and 300 microns and can be used as additive in polymer products such as paints, coatings and building materials.
