Classification of road boards
According to the number of layers, there are three types of single-sided, double-sided, and multilayer circuit boards, according to the circuit layers inside.
The first is a single-sided circuit board. On a general circuit board, the components are on one side of the board, and the circuit is on the other side. Because only one side has a circuit, we call this circuit board a single panel. The production of single panel is generally very simple and low cost, but it can only be used for simple electronic products, and more complicated electrical appliances cannot use single panel.
Then there is the double-sided board. The reason why it is called double-sided board is, of course, because it has two sides of the circuit. When a product has only one side of the circuit that cannot meet the normal use, you need this kind of double-sided or multi-sided circuit board to meet it. The double-sided circuit is to connect the two sides of the circuit through the copper hole, so that different circuits are divided into different network connections to meet the needs of the product.
The last is the multi-layer circuit board. The multi-layer circuit board refers to the circuit with more than three layers in the board. The conductive pattern layer is separated by insulating material between each two sides, and then formed by pressing. Multilayer boards are widely used in complex electronic products, providing products with high capacity, high speed, multi-function and other advantages.
According to the nature of the circuit board material
Can be divided into soft board and hard board. There are also hard and soft boards. The soft board is made of tough material, just like the plastic shell. The rigid board is made of hard material, which is difficult to break or fold. Soft and hard board is a kind of softer and harder material, which is a combination of soft board and hard board.
It is also possible to expose the board to strong light, the multilayer board will not have light through, and the single and double panel light will pass through the board. Then the single panel, because there is only one line. All vias are copper-free. Conversely, for double-sided and multi-layer boards, vias can be made with copper.
The most essential distinction is the number of lines.
Circuit board hole attribute distinction
The single panel has only one side of the circuit, and the holes inside are all non-metallized holes, and no electroplating is required during the board manufacturing process.
For double-sided and multi-layer boards, the holes inside are divided into metalized holes and non-metallized holes. Electroplating is required in the manufacture of the board.
Circuit board application
What kind of things will use the circuit board? General household and common electronic products, appliances, like mobile phones, TVs, computers, induction cookers for kitchens, rice cookers, range hoods, some chargers, remote controls, and high-end products. Precision aircraft, missiles, automotive equipment, medical equipment, military equipment, etc. The normal application of the circuit board in the product is to adjust the speed, control time, display and other functions. Not all electrical appliances need to use circuit boards, such as ordinary kettles, but only use electric heating to boil water, so all do not need to use circuit boards.
Normally, when we use circuit boards, how do we choose to use a simple single-dual panel or a multi-layer board? The higher the product requirements, the more the cost of the circuit board. The design of the circuit board will involve the required functions of signal anti-interference, circuit layout, EMC and other aspects.
With the development of science and technology, the requirements of electronic products are getting higher and higher. Because the application range of single and double panels is small, it is only used for simple products and cannot meet the needs of the times, so it will consider the functionality of using a multi-layer circuit board to barbaric products. Multilayer boards are used in a wide range of electronic products today because of their powerful economic performance and stable circuit performance. Briefly describe the method and application of distinguishing the number of circuit board layers, some of which may not be complete and specific, but I still hope everyone can understand and help.
