The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that in the first two months of this year, China’s software and information technology service industry maintained a stable and positive performance, with revenue continuing to maintain double-digit growth. The driving role of the software and information technology service industry in the national economy was further highlighted.
Statistics show that from January to February this year, China’s software business revenue reached 1446.1 billion yuan, an increase of 11% year-on-year. The total profit of the software industry was 176.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%. The software and information technology service industry segments also showed good performance. Revenue from software products and information technology services increased by 9.5% and 11.6% year-on-year, respectively. Among them, revenue from cloud computing and big data services increased by 13.3% year-on-year.
Yao Lei, Director of the Institute of Information Technology and Software, China Academy of Electronic Information Industry Development, said: “Software definition” has been fully integrated into various fields of the economy and society, resulting in the emergence of new manufacturing models such as platform based design, personalized customization, networked collaboration, intelligent production, service-oriented extension, and digital management, continuously endowing traditional industries with new capabilities, and accelerating the pace of industry digitization.
