Title: IPC Releases Two New Standards in April 2025
• Content: On April 22, 2025, IPC officially released the IPC – 2591 “Interconnecting Factory Data Exchange (IPC – CFX)” standard version 2.0. The new version adds functional support for manual welding and wave – soldering operations, expands the total number of equipment types with CFX – defined functional requirements to 14, and opens up a new path for gateway solution providers to demonstrate their capabilities through the CFX verification and qualification system. On April 28, IPC released the IPC – 8981 “Quality and Reliability of Electronic Textile Wearable Devices” standard, establishing the first global benchmark for the testing and classification of such products.
