HealthCanada has issued a warning that an implantable device used in a certain neuromodulation system may cause intermittent signal interruption or loss of imaging function due to contamination of the chip bonding layer on the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), and has been classified as a Level II recall event. This reflects the importance of long-term stability of PCBs in high reliability scenarios.
